Sikat Pinoy National Trade Fair 2018: What keeps me going back?

Hooray for my second Sikat Pinoy National Trade Fair!

Department of Trade and Industry, through Bureau of Domestic Trade Promotion, and in cooperation with the DTI's Regional and Provincial Boards, is known to organize such gatherings to highlight how talented Filipinos are in terms of arts and craftsmanship. This year, another Trade Fair was arranged by the same department to showcase each distinct products of most provinces all over the Philippines.

Happening from 22nd to 26th of August at SM Megamall Megatrade Halls (5th Floor, Building B), this event will promote the products of about 250 MSME's around our country, and is free of admission.

As I've mentioned, this is actually my second time to witness this awesome event. And, indeed, I am still in awe of the locally made products made by talented Filipinos all over our country. Aside from that, I enjoyed talking to the entrepreneurs on how they started the business, how are they enjoying the event and many more stories they have brought fresh from their provinces. It is not actually just buying the product but knowing the story behind that product, that makes purchasing memorable and worth it.

Knowing each story makes me think that this is really a great event as this is one of the key programs to promote efficient marketing and distribution of local products and services, and it also expands linkages among MSME's through information exchanges and market matching.

That is why I was very happy to be part of this event's opening.

Now, here's the reason why I keep going back to this event:

Because through this event, I always see the beauty of every arts and crafts product made by our fellow Filipinos, and I learned how important it is to support local masterpieces as we surely can make undeniably world-class commodities.

Here are some of the stalls that you will see at the event:

My all in all experience is totally great! I would love to attend more Trade Fairs in the future! By the way, here's some food products from the event. Thank you Department of Trade and Industry for this wonderful experience. One of the best!
